Aileen's
Oasis - WORKSHOP
Preamble: This timely workshop steeped in the age old practice of collecting and using gifts from the earth to clean, deodorize and disinfect our personal space home provides the skills to bring joyful, uplifting scents into our environments whether it is the kitchen, bath, social space or workspaces with the knowledge that we are using materials that have no risk of causing any damage, unhealthy reactions nor environmental contamination. These materials are easy to use, pleasant to be around and in general provide a sense of wellbeing and empowerment as we mix our own blends and create our own spray bottles for doing our daily chores. A sense of fun and joy enters to process of taking care of our own space when we are actually creating our own cleaning and beautifying products. Purpose: To explore healthy choices when we are preparing to purchase and use products in our homes and workspaces to clean, deodorize and disinfect the areas where we spend the most time with those we care about. Description: In this workshop we will learn how essentials oils
are collected, the various ways in which essential oils can be diluted and
distorted by contaminating the chemical
properties of these precious oils. We will learn that pure essential oils
are necessary to provide the desired results, and also how to use them in our everyday
lives to replace many of the common chemical preparations presently being used to clean
and deodorize our homes. We will also learn how to use the oils as insect repellents,
immune boosters, mood changers and many, many other applications. This will be an experiental workshop where participants will work with the essentials oils, carrier oils, and distilled water and various other media in various combinations and applications, and take away a toolbox for enhancing the lives of everyone who enters our home or environment.
